HOT CHOCOLATES AND FRENCH FRIES

and better milkshakes than yours. Okay, so there's that cafĂ© that somehow reminds me of those typical American diners in, again, typical American teenage movies and series like The OC where you get French fries and burgers and banana-vanilla straw-hatever milkshakes - hot chocolate and cream in this case. Which - not exactly the chocolate but the series thing'y thing - got me to thinking, thinking about characters in a play. So here, my dear friends, a bunch of the impossible protagonists I empathized with.

Firstly first (above), oh that one's easy: the funny girl that dresses, you know, funny and though she's kinda pretty she's very down to earth and prefers boys' stuff. She's their best friend, surfs and reads comics, she's a tomboy, if you will, she's in the game for anything and everything, if you will, she's got a hard shell but a soft core, if you will. She - aka Anna Stern aka Ivy Sullivan - hardly gets the boy, though.
Here's the difference between a smiley smile and a, you know, smile: on the one hand, above, we have the sunny almost unbearable happy girl next door that's highly born and thus has a thing for bad boys, vodka and family drama.

And on the other hand (below), we have the lonely heart who's quite witty, commits social suicide every now and then - without noticing, mind you - and still gets the girl  boy of her dreams after all - not despite, but because of her extraordinariness and hidden beauty - the Seth Cohen kinda gal, if you will.
Well, well, well, ... but as a matter of fact there's also always the mean girl - watch ya back! Highly seductive, extremely snappy, gets the boys but doesn't care, bullies her minions, lives intrigues and parties - never tries but always succeeds - glamour and love but still, one can't deny the existence of her kryptonite - hot chocolate and cream in this case, mind you!
-- and last but not least, the girl that's always slightly upset cause she already sort of swallowed her cream topping before the others did -  well, a lot of drama going on here with her, see? see? see?
But now, series and characters aside, let's have a look at the dress - a full length body shot, what else? What do you think? It's a little bit short, makes you pull and pluck while, you know, seated but wait, it's Isabel Marant, right? That's by design, right? I knew, you knew.

Oh and just in case you were kinda wondering, I wore some thermo-tights by Skinfit - nicely placed logos on the right knee, mind you - I really missed the warm weather...
Outfit: boots Moma, dress Isabel Marant, hat Schumacher

Happy Fridays everyone!
xx, A.
