COFFEE & COINS

fringes & leather. Actually it's tea, as I usually don't do coffee and if so only with a 1:2-coffee-milk-mixture but hey, coins and coffee (or the other way round) do it better. Anyways. Here's something that's doing good too: suede shorts plus an oversized sweater that has a lot to dingle-dangle - kinda felt like Pocha-blond not that tanned sort of-hontas with my hair all frizzy and towel-dry. Added the animal printed loafers to not ruin the easy look, yet to live up the richness of detail. Or, with other words: a super laid back late summer look with a great heart for details. Ba-bum. What do you think?

ON HARNESSES

and dogs. Empathy mode on, okay, awkward question: did you ever wondered about what it's like to live your dog's, you know, life? I'm sure it's all about eating, sleeping, passing winds and other fun stuff. But then again, if you're e.g. a hunting sort of dog, I asked myself - as I wouldn't want to wait 'till my dog answers, you know - what's it like to wear a harness everyday? And from everyday I got to one day and here we go, my experience report, pro bono, if you will...

SLEEK

low bun. I'm quite into the sleek low bun at the moment. Very easy but fierce in its own sort of way. You know. Oh and yes, yep, yeah, used a neon hair tie as a contrast to the strictness and all - like?

Have a great day!

BANANAS AND CRYSTALS

sort of. Fake bananas, fake crystals at that point but you already knew that. Never mind! What we have here's an ordinary outfit with a fine touch of irony - c'mon bananas and crystals? Decadent  decent!! -that I wore at the office yesterday. Well, what shall I say, just felt like the right thing to do  mix&match! One may think the fringe jacket plus a pair of orthopaedic shoes Bobby sneakers be sort of too much but I actually think they create that certain harmony! Mind you: irony and harmony, win, win, cheers!

PASTEL COLORS

and some feathers. At the moment I like to tie long sleeves around my waist for some reason, actually don't know if that's going to be a huge trend but I can tell it definitely comes in handy these days as summer is out and about, winding to its close. Also, these shoes, the shoes, if you will, as boot-ish as they might be, they're nothing but rad rad rad for the hot, yet brisk days thanks to their... hmm... let's say ventilation  cutouts. Oh and btw, the fancy Frenzy 559's slightly more pink-ish as expected but hey, perfectly matches my pastel color look: pistachio and raspberry yogurt - GELATO ANYONE?

PS: ultra picture overload here you gooooo, go, go!

FUN FACT ABOUT OUTER SPACE

meaning the blogger bubble. Today, at least. So here we go: as a personal style blogger, an ego blogger, if you will, it all starts with what you are wearing or well, not wearing that day. Let's assume the the latter, so you get dressed like dressed up (confirmation at this point: dark blue and black do match perfectly). And before, while or even after the day takes its course you squeeze in 15 minutes where you step a side, take a breath and pose...
... trying more or less hard, acting like a pro (below), you know... acting like you're not even caring about people looking at you like you're from outer space - you just don't mind in your shoe's that actually look as rad as from outer space (black holes and all, you know...)
but I can tell, I do mind, sometimes at least. So if you're not shooting indoor, at your balcony or at any other deserted place, you always have to deal with that. But sometimes it's just hilarious and you start - still caught in your "screen off, blogger bubble on" mode - finding them with their popped out eye balls dragging behind nothing but amusing, look at them and laugh or even point at them, "thank you for starring!"
They pass, you go on, still amused, but smiling for the camera - give energy, get energy back, isn't it like that? Well, my dog kinda got distracted but that's okay, she's just not that pro, not yet, at least, still gotta learn a lot and all...
And if the coast is finally clear, another people miles away, we start to dance and fool around again.

PICK ME UP

559 + 563 = a double chanelicious smile. Don't quite know if it's their amazing color or just the hype about 'em but I can tell, they're piling up at home and I'm loving it - you already knew that, though - so here's a fun fact, they're officially available at the stores next doors - that rhymes, mind you - or here but already almost sold out again. Go, RUN!

HAPPY SATURDAYS!

T.G.I.F.

Thank God I'm Funny. Hilarious. Kidding. See? Anyways, here's something I'd call a perfect mix of greige and a dash of color - purple, violet, if you will which I find always difficult but seems like when summer decides to pop up at its very end it's finally time for the color - call it coup de théâtre, call it last minute panic, let 'em - and with 'em I mean purple colored dresses - have their moment.
Also, love the play of lengths meaning the dress sticking out...
...and the shoes, THE SHOES, of course, what else? Turns out my affection for shoes's bigger than I ever expected, but hey, like mother, like daughter (is that actually an explanation or an excuse?) and they're absolutely amazing, because - now watch and marvel - they are very, very Balenciaga-ish thanks to their airy cutouts (see? see? see?) plus well, not - pricewise and all, you know.
So once again, a full body shot from the back, from the front, picture it? Thanks!

WRAP AROUND

and tuck in. Slightly surprised me how challenging it is to mix&match a super nice wrap skirt with silky pleats and a flowery imprint that one hardly notices. Maybe it's the wrappy thing plus flowing pleats, peplum, if you will, that tightly fits and makes one's proportions look sort of weird - lengthened torso, shorter legs and all. But then again, I decided to just tuck a random oversized my brothers thus oversized tee in, rolled the sleeves up and added some mid-heels to give some hight. That actually worked out pretty, again, nice, I'd say. What about you? An overload of pics after the click (below), but you already knew that...

Raspberry, please!

Tone-in-Tone. And a million dollar smile on my face. Well, almost, but hey, that girl can jump! What? Never mind! After all the printy-thingy lately I felt like dressing plain colored for once, didn't expect the look to turn out like a little girl's barbie room dream come true, though, but, again, hey, it's summer and hot, hot, hot (for some days at least) and that's actually reason enough for me to dress, you know, sorbet-ish. I confess in pink  raspberry, I guess.
Oh, also love the fact that the sunnies adopt the pink-ish raspberry color, see? Amazing, right?
and a whole body shot, acting thoughtful, see? Well yes, yep, yeah. That's it.

PRINTS

plus prints. After work we found that wonderful bed of flowers so I thought, they'd match my leo print dress perfectly. And while last week and, you know, back then it was all about leo + denim, it's all about leo + leo today. Had to sympathize with that printy-print-on-print thing that's on everyone's lips body atm first but now, see, even my sunnies match. Ha! See? Well, I guess you have to click-a-click-a-click (below)...

ON PIMPED PARKAS

As such. As the ordinary parka pimped with rhinestones, studs, leather sleeves or even without, you know, sleeves found its proper place in our wardrobes, I thought it's time to show how to dress a parka-ish shirt in a lovely way paired to an innocent white summer breath of nothing, matching booties and a touch of nude. What do you think? - A bunch of pics after the click, enjoy!

VERSATILITY

Bold. Business above, party below and something they'd call orthopaedic shoes but I  we call a sneakers dream come true in the end. Quite an overload, quite a bold look that is - admitted - quite an unusual combo but hey, 'getting one hot by showing what you've got' - sounds familiar thanks to La Gaga, doesn't it?
So here a closeup (above) and an insight: sequin skirts actually are unflattering. They are, they really are dot. But then again, who cares? They're also great in distracting from the unpleasant fact thanks to their sparky-sprakling, you know, self.
And another closeup to see for, again, yourself...
And here's another but fun fact: versatility, my dear friends, it's not only about looking bold as you can truly e.g. dig out your black swan skills and do a little ballet dance...
... you can also always just run...
or and smile, maybe at once. Ha! There you are, versatility in your face - and with that a happy Sunday morning!

SUPER CASUAL

Loafers. I hardly dress that casual, meaning denim pants and a simple tee but that they the other week I just didn't felt like layering so I tried to pimp the casual look and bring it to the next level. To do so, some would probably think of high heels first but me, well, I think loafers are just fine too, even though their casualness-factor, they aren't and especially not thanks to the sort of, you know, calfskin animal printed, you know, matter. And there will always be the statement necklace, at last, of course.
So yes, yep, yeah, here another denim-plus-leo-combo (just in case you need a refresher here) and well, still keeps me surprising how - as simple as it actually sounds - perfect they actually, again, do match.
- not convinced? A closeup (below)!
So there you are, now, let's have coffee and think about it a minute  second or two.
Let's retrospect: denim plus leo, leo plus denim - win, win, I'd say, do you?

GLITTER

Sunday on Monday. I'm still in that certain cosily mood I was yesterday or rather I am on Sundays, that happens to be my ultimate relaxing day as such. Admitted, I never loved that day so much in the past because I always felt sort of restricted as almost all shops, cafes etcetera here are closed and just knowing that I couldn't go have little drink, go do a little shopping again, etcetera, you know, just in case I all of a sudden feel so, made me mad. But as I'm getting older  time went by I feel more related to, you know, relaxing and wrapping up cosily on the sofa varnishing my nails, drinking tea, hot chocolate or coffee and reading the latest fashion magazines - only on Sundays, of course. That said, what do you think of my super duper glitter nails???

(L)OVERDOSE

boho. To be perfectly frank, I never really understood what they really meant with 'boho' at all, not even when Moss, Miller (who?) or the Olsens were declared as Miss Bohos as such but, at least I guess so, this outfit's quite close to what they were celebrating back, you know, then. Today, I however guess again, we'd call it an Isabel Marant (l)overdose.
Funny enough, that pullover's by that amazing Spanish textile and clothing copycat chain - noticed my rhetorical skills? - we all do love and hate. I know you do! Oh and look, look, look, the skirt's blowing flowing in the wind - if that's not boho, what is?
But then again, the whole boho chic thing got me to thinking about, well, ethnic looks and ... all, you know, like where's the difference or is it all the same cup of tea dressing Indian-summer-ish (which I think we already have here in Germany boo-hoo - like boo-hoo, not boho, get it?)? Some serious need of enlightenment at that point, I guess, however!
But see for yourself, a closeup from the back, fringes √ check, coins √ check, ethnic/boho print √ check - what more do you want?
So there we are: a boho-slash-ethnic-euphoric pose, yeah, yep, no, not!
And a last check, the skirt's amazing too, right? Well, see it also in action there.
Outfit: shoes and skirt Isabel Marant (similar here), sweater ZARA, sunnies Mango (similar here, here and here)

Happy Sundays everyone!
