Sunday walk. It's getting colder and colder, the leaves are turning bright yellow, carmine and brown - yep it's fall and damn I'm loving it: wrapped up in layers of warming clothes the boy and I came across that amazing spot, pure fall feeling pumping through our veins, we simply couldn't resist to stop, take some photographs and linger there like for ever (at least we wanted to but our rumbling tummies were pushing us back to the delicious fall fair food stands, not too bad haha).

B(asle) F(all) F(air)
Carousel and giant wheel. Yesterday was great fun: we strolled from food stand to food stand, took a ride with the super super duper giant wheel (which made my knees become weak on the top of the top of the ... well, we were frightening high up there swinging in the sky but had the most amazing view ever all over Basle) and even rode on the carousel (a real childhood dream which came finally true haha). Here some iPhone snapshots of the most lovely fair I've ever been to. Enjoy!

Saturday Impressions
Freiburg. Today we went to Freiburg - a German city right next to the swiss border (yep, back in Switzerland for a couple of days) - for some delicious nibbles and of course shopping (which turned out more profitable for the guys among us). So we just came back home and I quickly wanted to share my Saturday impressions with you PLUS a tiny sneak peak of my today's outfit (got a clue?) but there's hardly time to chill since the Basle fall fair kicks of today too and we wouldn't want to miss that spectacle...

Canon LOVER
Stock up. My affection for photography and cameras was awakened by my cousin who gave me the oh so chic Canon IXUS digi-cam as a gift for my 14th or 15th birthday. I especially loved the color screen tool and you know it was just great fun trying new things out. But as I started the blog I wanted to my skills to a new level which wouldn't work with a ordinary digi-cam. So I decided to save money for a reflex camera... after working with a Canon 450D for almost a year (back then I got a 2nd lens for free by purchasing the camera, great deal I thought but wasn't exactly since really good lenses are never for free, I've got that now), I'm using the boy's 500D at the moment. Now I've stocked up my collection of Canon-camera-devices-stuff (or however you'd like to call it) with another item: the Canon EF 50 mm f/1,8 II lens. I'm so excited and can't wait to try it out!!
Are you also a Canon addict? Or what cameras are you using?
PS: bad picture quality I know, my BB camera just isn't good at all but I tried to improve my photoshop skills at least, see?
Enjoy your weekends, lovelies!
xx, A.

minimalism
Leather sleeves. Still wondering if the coat's length suits me or not, sometimes got the feeling that it shrinks me but then again I remember why I love it so much: of course I'm fascinated by those amazing leather sleeves but also by its minimalistic cut, even buttons would be too much here (I know, a coat without buttons? Frankly, I already had to suffer from that oh so fashionable non-existent detail thanks to the breezy Vienna weather but as they say beauty knows no pain bla bla... you know...).

gather inspiration
ELLE (France) & InStyle (Germany). I was browsing through the latest fashion magazines for some "new in" inspirations. So I already came to the decision that I absolutely have to wear these heels (above, Asos & Cate Grey) more often. I'm also thinking of mixing some of the trends shown in the mags, some print and fabric matching like denim plus floral prints or velvet... so many ideas crossing my mind atm. Oh, and I want a duffle coat so badly! Of course it looks amazing on Alexa Chung (surprising huh? nooot!) but I've also seen a random girl wearing an extraordinary piece the other day and I can truly say that you should definitely go for quality!
Have a wonderful day!

GOOD MORNING
Outfit: skirt H&M, shirt ZARA (studs DIY)
Fruit Loops. Monday morning, fascinated by the way the studs and the (faux) leather skirt give spice to the preppy blouse and make it more edgy.
Have a great week,

DIY: pimp your collar
Studded. I absolutely re-fell in love with studs ever since I've spotted the sassy collar stands by 11 OBJECTS. So I decided to crash a punk-gothic-emo-whatever shop (yep, picture me in there with blonde curls wearing a lumberjack shirt - do not laugh! then again, they should be used to differently styled people stopping by... especially in this time, it's almost halloween, hello-o? I guess if not now, when then?? haha anyways who cares?!) to snatch the essential components for my DIY, studs! It's quite an easy procedure, only 4 steps which are always the same:

Lunch
Pasta dishes. Since I'm a student I've learned to pimp up my almost every day meals especially pasta recipes... 'cause pasta is what students eat... all the time... right? Well, of course I manage to cook other things too (once in a while) but c'mon pasta's so easy and thanks to Vapiano we know that it actually goes with anything! So here we go: penne pasta with fresh tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, dried tomatoes and rocket salad.

current beauty obsessions
on the photo: Les 4 Ombres "Mystic", perfume "Coco Mademoiselle", matt lipstick, varnish CHANEL, eyeliner Dior & MAC, mascara "shocking" YSL, facial cleaning "pink grapefruit" Neutrogena, hair texture "to (un)dress your hair" bumble and bumble
in my beauty case. When I was in primary school my mother gave me a little vanity case, which I loved - I painted my dolls and of course myself (imagine how it looked like haha) - but as I wanted to show the wonderful case with all kinds of eyeshadow shades full of pride to my grandpa he stopped me and gave the advice to always keep my beauty secrets. Frankly, I've never ever understood why, so here we go: my eyes are sparkling mystically, while my lips flash in matt pink. My nails are alternately gleaming greenish-golden like a peacock feather or silver like graphite, while my face smells like a pink grapefruit and my skin like Coco Mademoiselle... well, what more do you want (even my hair's (un)dressed by b.b. texture)? - all at once, NOOOT! haha
Have a wonderful Wednesday!

We Bandits Outfit
Outfit: flower brooches, socks and denim shirt H&M, cashmere sweater, bag and flats ZARA, jeans Citizens of Humanity
Flowery. I considered the We Bandits pop up store opening as the perfect occasion for wearing my latest DIY. For the rest I kept the outfit deliberately casual and simple since I wanted the flower brooches to have their big moment - so what do you think?
Happy Mondays, everyone!

We Bandits
Pop up. We went to the "We Bandits" pop up store the other day. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to call in the first time it opened in the middle of September. As I saw on photos they had a larger amount of items in their first location which also seemed bigger. Also, some silver glitter brogues have caught my eye but weren't available this time, what a pity! So I returned empty-handed but my dear friend Judith snatched a cosy knitwear sweater in a rad red - yaaay for that!

SCHOOL GIRL
Outfit: shoes Steve Madden, skirt and shirt ZARA
Baby one more time. I totally forgot about that outfit which was shot back in those wonderful days of indian summer. The shirt and skirt combo reminds me of Miss Spears, you know the early Britney when things seemed alright. Well, I know it shouldn't since a Britney look is not exactly what I wanted to come up my mind by looking at the photo, but it did ...
Happy Friday lovelies!

Sail Ahoy
collage by IOWA
Outfit: shoes PRADA, jeans Dsquared, sweater ZARA, scarf ETRO
Another street style. Reminds me of a seaman, norseman or what ever because of the navy blue twisted yarn hoodie with toggles. Love that colorful paisley scarf knotted around the neck and stuffed in. Also, the shoes with that logo popping up which normally would be too swanky but isn't thanks to the trainer-esque look caught my I. All in all it's a sassy understated high class outfit (I know, understated high class? does that make sense? well, DEFINITELY in that case!) - like?
Have a wonderful Wednesday!

I like staying up late...
on the photo: reshaped flower hair clips and denim shirt H&M, mascara "shocking" YSL, glasses Oliver Peoples, magazine Elle (france, 30. September + a copied page of the 23. September issue)
eating chocolate cake and snowflakes. AND browsing through magazines getting new inspirations on every single page and well, putting things I like but can't afford at the moment into practice by a DIY. The flower hair clips which I reshaped into brooches so they look like the super amazing high-class ones by Karuna Balloo are the latest example. Okay, mine may aren't the best quality and definitely not made of 100% vintage silk and golden stamens from the 30's etc. but hey, I dare to say, the effect is the same and I didn't have to pay 270€ at least ('cause honestly, the look only works with three of them just as they featured it in Elle france).
The next thing I'm looking for is that golden hair ring they used for the model's ponytail at the Dries van Noten show - one word, four letters: WANT!
PS: 5 days to go: as you know I'm taking part in the GRAZIA Stylefinder Competition - sooo please please please help me win and vote for me here. (you can vote again every day!)

Arty Activity
Free Ai Weiwei. I went to the Free Ai Weiwei exhibition the other day (instead of spending the whole day in bed hiding from the breezy weather!), which was absolutely amazing. I love the way Ai Weiwei combines art and architecture and also the ideas which stand behind each work. Also, communication's always an issue. Impressive!
I was wearing a quite casual outfit, but standing out in a way since there were a lot of guys pulling off that sophisticated architecture look - skinny jeans, round nerd glasses and a mop of curly hair, ... you know.
I also bought that Free Ai Weiwei bag which already achieved cult status in uhm wherever I forgot, since they where sold out in less than 10 minutes... well at least they say so. Anyways, usually it wouldn't exactly be my taste of bags, if it wasn't for a good cause... So there we go!
PS: as I told you yesterday I'm taking part in the GRAZIA Stylefinder Competition and well, the price is a trip to NYC plus an invitation to the fashion week - sooo please please please help me win and vote for me here.

Munich day trip
True stories. The blazer hardly leaves my shoulders at the moment (just as the boots my feet, but that's another story), so in love with that shade of green and it's easy to match too. Well, I thought so at least. Regarding these photos I have the impression that it makes me look bigger, if there weren't the legs, maybe it's the skirt blablabla anyways, who cares? I'm sure that's the cut, which I LOVE (because of the layering my mother used to call me the little witch, do you know the story? with the raven Abraxas, Walpurgis night and all that? loved that story when I was a child).
Speaking of stories, I definitely have another true one for you here: as I was rambling around the City, exploring the most beautiful shops of Munich I spotted the "GRAZIA Style Finder Tour"-team who are searching for the best street style of Germany (+ Vienna) at the moment. Of course I didn't hesitate when they asked me if I'd like them to take a photograph of me for the competition. Yep, it's a competition, there'll be a voting (starting on Monday) and a super cool price to win, but more about all that when the balloon goes up.
Oh I almost forgot the funniest thing ever: the GRAZIA guys also asked my mommy! That probably runs in family, right? haha

SKETCH & SCRATCH
MUC. As we speak I'm already on my way to Munich to enjoy one of my last days of vacation. I wrote down some things - I'm such a to-do-list writer and PROs and CONs, I do it for everything and anything, sometimes it's just too difficult to decide, it's awful, bad bad habit ;) ! - that I want to see slash try slash buy before I go back to Vienna for university (already got the Mademoiselle Coco perfume by Chanel as a gift from my mommy, so sweet right?) aaand I made a more or less realistic sketch of my today's outfit - can you guess what I'm wearing right now?
Enjoy your weekends!

a Boss borrow
Outfit: bag Chanel, my brother's sweater Boss, shirt and loafers ZARA
Wardrobes. I love a brother's closet which's unused but still filled with some super cosy oversize sweaters and shirts. The best of all, you don't have to ask anyone and don't run a risk to cash a "NO!!" so you just grab what you can get 'cause what the eye doesn't see, the heart doesn't grieve over ... or whatever. A quite casual boy-ish look which gets kicked in the other direction by the bag and the patent leather loafers ... so far so good - what do you think?

FASHIOLISTA'S GUEST EDITOR
![]() |
Fall wishlist. A couple of weeks ago I spotted a message of lovely Maddie from FASHIOLISTA in my mailbox asking if I was in the mood to choose some items and write about my ultimate fall wishlist as their next guest editor. After reading the mail twice and a big big big smile on my face I thought "what? are you kidding? OF COURSE I am!!" - I mean how could I not be?! So I started to gather ideas right away et voilĂ that's the result, click here to read the whole article!
Once again, many thanks to Maddie and FASHIOLISTA for that great opportunity, it was an honor, I loved it!

THE Boy
collage and styling by IOWA
Outfit: shades "Wayfarer" Ray Ban, boots and pants ZARA, shirt H&M, tee J.J.
Casual dandy. A contradiction in terms? Not at all! I love a man's outfit which is sophisticated but still laid back and far from too perfect (there's nothing worse than men who spend more time in the bathroom than yourself, don't you think?). Anyways, the look works because of the repeating color navy blue but the mix of two prints makes it even more interesting. Obviously, the untied boots, rolled up sleeves and trousers add that special touch of a "who cares" attitude and lastly the Wayfarer rounds it off, that's it - what do you think? Thumbs up?
Have a wonderful day!

EDGY
Snap. I must say I may have overreacted just a little bit when I wrote about H&M's latest fall/winter collection, here - I went there the other day to get a picture of the items in real which I assumed to be awful but surprise surprise they're not! Some colors are still not my taste but you can never go wrong with black and burgundy... now I feel sorry for dissing the collection in the first place but honestly, after that presentation who could knew that it turns out that good?! Bad matching, I guess. Anyways, I'll post a more detailed photograph of the plaited top asap so you can imagine it better, I tell you it's sooo cute!

SUNDAY IMPRESSIONS
Goodies. We celebrated my daddy's unbirthday since tomorrow's a normal working day and birthdays are just much better on a day off, don't you think (will never ever understand people who don't enjoy celebrating their birthday which is truly the most amazing day besides Christmas)? We got him some Champagne truffles and more... oh and I made some profiteroles too - for the 2nd time I guess, documented almost every step so may gonna post the recipe & preparation very soon.
