DIY: LSD

Leather Sack Dress. Sometimes a wanna-do-make-cut-sew-glue fever overcomes me. Not only that I've got itchy feed, but sketch and scratch all the time, talk n.o.n. s.t.o.p. about my soon-to-be DIY and just can't wait to prepare all the components so that I'm finally able to play out what makes me that bubbly. And here we are, only a few steps away from the ultimate LSD:
1 STEP: prepare all your components, all you need is: a piece of clothing (here: ZARA dress),  a piece of fabric (here: faux leather), fabric glue (here: the "paper roll", you have to iron it), a piece of paper, two kinds of scissors (paper, textile), a ruler or a measuring tape, a textile chalk and a pencil

note: it's always better to know what you want, picture it (or sketch it, like me above) to focus

2 STEP: draw the shape of your leather patches/detail/you name it on the piece of paper
3 STEP: cut it out and use it as a template
4 STEP: copy the shape on your piece of fabric (with the help of the template)
5 STEP: repeat the 4 STEP mirror-inverted (!!)
6 STEP: repeat the 4 and 5 STEP but draw it on the textile glue paper roll
7 STEP: cut it out; now you have 2 leather and 2 textile glue shapes (mirror-inverted)
8 STEP: iron the textile glue on the leather patches (not too hot!), peel the paper off and iron the patches on your item of clothing
note: make sure you iron the right (not sticky) side of the textile glue paper; do not iron on the patches directly, but use a (backing) foil as interlayer

... et voilà the result:

Like? Well, I can't wait to wear it!

Happy Friday everyone!
xx, A.
