Click!

Dear readers and followers,
I can proudly announce that as from today a new era has started:
My grandparents gave me the amazing Canon 450D as a birthday present and once again I was freaking out! *what else?*
When I took pics for "It's On With Allegra B.J." I always used a digi-cam (Canon IXUS 85 IS), which is great but to be honest, you can hardly compare it to a reflex camera, right?!!!!!

So let the games begin!!

Have a wonderful weekend, lovelies!!

Monthly Inspiration

1. Paloma Faith - Upside Down

catchy tune . funny video. freaky clothes. What more do you want?

2. So rich, So pretty (photographs by TheCobraSnake)

I adore TheCobraSnake's work! It seems so easy - you take pics of party-people. aaand wooow. that's it - but it's much, much more than that. His photos provoke, show emotions, convey atmospheres and as for me, they are a great source of inspiration. I'm totally over the moon!

FRANKIE SAYS RELAX

Outfit: harem trousers ZARA, sandals fcuk, belt Diesel, shirt DIY, scarf&bag Vintage, glasses Tom Ford

Some years ago MK Olsen was spotted wearing a "FRANKIE SAYS RELAX"-tee. Do you remember? Well, I can remember that I was absolutely thrilled by that idea (because I love the song "relax" by Frankie goes to Hollywood). I even did a DIY version...
3 days ago I rediscovered the tee somewhere in my closet. Actually, I was surprised, I haven't worn it for ages and wasn't even thinking about it. So I simply had to try it on.

However what do you think about my harem trousers?? I've never ever liked them, do you? But last year when they were on sale I got them for only 5€. What a bargain! I couldn't hold off buying them even though I wasn't sure if I would ever wear them. But guess what? They're super comfy and well, stylish!?

xoxo from Greece

PS: the pics weren't taken in Greece, but at home. (interenet access isn't that great as hoped-for but I'm prepared to blog just a little bit)

Monthly Style Question

Have you ever heard of toe rings?
Okay, ankle chains are widely spread, I think at least since Bollywood (and they even look quite cute btw, don't they?). But what about toe rings? As for me, it sounded a little bit weird but here in Greece you hardly find any girls and women without feet-jewellery.
Though I was a little bit sceptical in the first place, I started to like the "teeny-weeny-adornment-junk".
I think it's a great way to beautify your feet, 'cause call me crazy but I find feet and especially toes kind of ugly - I'm a real anti-feet-fetishist but all the more I LOVE shoes, which make feet and toes look nothing but beautiful too. In short, now, I'm a toe rings and ankle chains fan.
What about you?
There're thousands of toe-ring-styles: from classy, glamorous, silver, gold and girly to cool, alternative, colourful and flashy, with rhinestones or without - however, I'm sure you'll find everything your heart desires!

Style of the Month: Gaia Repossi

Who's she? I never ever heard of her before, did you?
Spotted!
When I was browsing through some fashion magazines I spotted an amazingly dressed, long-haired beauty sitting front row next to socialites & it-girls, taking photos with models & designers with increasing frequency.
You're asking whom I'm talking about?
Gaia Repossi!

Sitting front row: (f.l.t.r.) Eugenie Niarchos, unknown girl, Charlotte Casiraghi & Gaia Repossi

She's the daughter of the owner of Repossi Jewelers and designed already 2 collections called "The Czarina Collection and Ere" with her friend Eugenie Niarchos. The Repossis are also very closly linked to the royal family of Monaco.
I'm pretty sure we're going to hear and see a lot more of Gaia Repossi and I also want to welcome her as a newcomer and as a "woman about who we talk" in the bloggersphere!

Today I'm wearing this dress for the 3rd time but I haven't had any time to take some pics of it till now. Finally, all good things come in threes or so they say...

Next Monday I'm off to Greece for 2 weeks. I'm looking forward to that but I'm a little bit worried about the internet access and the possibility to blog regularly. Well, we'll see :)

Have a nice day, honeys!!

Outfit: banana shirt Andy Warhol by Pepe Jeans, jeans ZARA, bracelets H&M + Vintage, shades Ray Ban

That's the freaky tee I bought in Zurich last Tuesday. I can't help but find it super cool! Don't you? My brother laughed at me and called my a little monkey, but I don't mind. Somehow it inspires me to freak out and fool around. haha.

I invited some friends for food & drinks this evening to celebrate my 18th birthday, which is tomorrow. But I think I've told you that already?! Sooooo GET THE PARTY STARTED. yaaay!!

PS: have a great weekend!

080710

Outfit: high-waisted shorts Diesel, DIY cropped shirt H&M, bracelets H&M + Vintage, brazilian fringes sandales, shades Ray Ban, bag LV

Above you can spot one of my Vienna-buys, the checked shirt. I combined it with classic jeans shorts first, but when I had lunch I spilled some oil on them - just my luck! The shorts went through the wash immediately...
Of course I couldn't run around without any shorts ^^ so I tried my high-waisted fire red Diesel shorts on, tied a shirt knot et voilà ...
Somehow I was surprised that the colours didn't clash and I even think that this combo is much more interesting than the classic version.
What do you think?

Today my brother and I met our cousin in Zurich, where we did some shopping (again ^^) - but I pulled myself together and bought - tatataaa - only one tee, which was on sale (how economically! lol). I love sale, don't you? I always feel like saving oh so much money.

Afterwards we went to Lucerne, where the weather was much better. We even went swimming and got tanned or rather they were tanning like mad while I tried to get a healthy complexion...

Actually, I enjoy "schoollessness" to the fullest! But to be honest, I'm a little bit stressed (in a great way!) because on Sunday I'm turning 18. Finally, yaaaay!!! So I invited some friends to a little pre-party (food & drinks & music) on Saturday at my place and slowly but surely I have to make preparations. As already said before my-birthday-plannings are positive stress and I'm absolutely looking forward to this weekend!!

PS: my daddy just told me that we'll fly to New York next month. I keel over, it's gonna be amazing!!!

xoxo, A.

Monthly Inspiration

GUYS, I'm back! My trip was amazing, the meeting was quite good and I LOVE VIENNA!! I just can't wait to move there this fall. Of course we did some shopping and went out. There's one place I especially fell in love with called "Museums Quatier". It's a gorgeous meeting point with museums, cafés, restaurants, shops and a lot of room to relax.
We also spotted a photo booth in the MQ. It was so much fun, we fooled around like 12-year olds and I really really think that there should be much more of those photo booths, so that's my "Monthly Inspiration Part I".
Well, here are the results (sry for the bad quality):

Photography and more: I bought this retro LOMO camera (Diana Mini), which is my "Monthly Inspiration Part II". It's very special because you have to load a film and you make absolute artistic and somehow freaky photos without trying too hard. It just happens (I'll show you the pics asap).

PS: thank you so much for your cute comments and hello hello to all you new followers - hope you enjoy my blog.

xoxo
